Organ seats....must be either very uncomfortable or very exciting depending on whether you like this sort of thing...

What does it mean to get tickets in the band section? Mine are in one of the "organ" seats.

Thanks Evan Smiling I just thought it was weird they would give you a seat but classify it by the musical instrument that's usually played there.

It is definitely the 31st August, I called the Opera House Box Office and they confirmed their Sound & Lighting team is booked to do the gig on Monday 31st Aug. Also, tickets are available to purchase NOW if you click on the link above (the presale tickets link).

Ben confirmed on Twitter (http://twitter.com/account/profile.mobile?page=6&user=BenjaminFolds) that there was only one Sydney show, and also that it was going to be on the 31st August.

Tickets on sale to the general public on Friday, June 19

That is what the Sydney Opera House website says, and they have the concert scheduled for Monday the 31st of August, at 8pm.

However... the Opera House has priority booking offers, and I purchased my tickets last night, and they were already going fast with almost all the stall seats taken. Leaving seats in the circle and the boxes left.

I guess people could always try calling the boxoffice and asking for tickets before June 19

I was so excited to hear that he's coming back to Australia. However, not coming to our city and based on this information I bought flights and accomodation to Sydney to see this concert.

However Sydney Opera House Website (as well as a few other websites) say the gig is actually on 31st Aug, which is too bad for me because I leave on the 30th!!!

This really sucks! and I'm not happy! What is going on?

I'm kind of confused as to whether this event has been officially announced yet. There is still no details on Sydney Opera House website
Sad. That said I'm about as excited as I've ever been for any concert and I've been checking the website ever since Way to Normal. yay
