    Hundreds of Emory students flocked to McDonough Field Saturday evening to watch and listen to singer/songwriter Ben Folds perform at the Spring Band Party organized by the Student Programming Council. Folds kept the crowd entertained with performances such as “Still Fighting It,” “You Don’t Know Me” and “Landed.” Folds also improvised a song about his experiences in Atlanta and Buckhead and encouraged students to join in during songs they were familiar with. He called two audience members onto the stage to accompany him for a song they requested: a special rendition of “Bitches Ain’t S--t." Read more»

    It started as a simple idea: Ben Folds would sign the keys of his damaged piano and sell them to help raise money for the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, which suffered more than $40 million worth of damage in May’s historic 2010 flood. Now, Folds is taking his plan one step further. Folds, who joined the Symphony's board after the flood, this year is launching Keys From Music City. Folds and other artists he can access will sign piano keys from Nashville and then donate them to other symphonies around the country.
