    The PEN/Faulkner Foundation, a literary organization which confers the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction and produces an annual series of readings, presents an evening with singer/musician Ben Folds and award-winning author Nick Hornby on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 7:30pm in support of the forthcoming Lonely Avenue, a collaborative album of “musical short stories” featuring music and vocals by Folds and lyrics by Hornby.     On Saturday, November 27, Ben Folds will perform “Keys to Music City,” a benefit for the Nashville Symphony at Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Andrew Jackson Hall. Led by guest conductor Francisco Noya, the orchestra will perform with Folds, and a portion of proceeds from the concert will also go to two local volunteer firefighting organizations: the Williamson County Rescue Squad and Pleasantview Volunteer Fire Department.
