Comments

Ben Folds has been inspired by the Hindu philosophy in his search for an artistic truth. He disappoints because an artistic philosophy will never reach the higher level of a religious philosophy, particularly judochristian, which is bound in the truth of God. His artistic truth is bound by humanism and hinduism which are stories of mankind ruled by false gods.

Hey Ben,

I know you will probably never read this since you would have so many notifications from all your fans, but if for some reason you do read this, I'd like to tell you a couple things.
I am 17 and I have grown up listening to your music. Although it is a rather sad song, my dad thinks of "Brick" as our song because shortly after I was born, things were very difficult for him and my mother. He was in the car waiting for my mother when your song came on the radio and it filled him with hope and made him happy. Between your song and looking at me, he became filled with joy. Since then, he has been a fan and has shown me your amazing ability to preform with passion. Your music has helped me when I have been upset. Your music has influenced my life in so many ways (all in which are good ways) and I want to thank you. You are my favorite musician and just listening to your music makes me smile and makes the world feel a little less overwhelming. I went to your concert in Madison, Wisconsin in 2011 and I cried. I cried because I was seeing the person whose music had given me hope, the person whose music was one of the only good parts of my childhood, the music that makes me happy and giddy inside every time I hear it. You are an incredible musician and I thank you for your inspirational music.

P.S. Songs for Silvermen in my favorite album!

Ben,
Dude, had really never heard of you before The Sing-Off, but after hearing your excellent comments and seeing your demeanor on the show, I was compelled to look up your background. What a lovely man!
Thanks for being on the show, it is refreshing to hear someone respect the singers in such a professional manner! Being such an adorable Nerd doesn't hurt, either! Love it.
In my opinion, you are the reason to watch every week!
I'm also going to look up what music you've done, by the looks of your discography, it's a rather extensive lot! Look forward to exploring through it!
Happy holidays and don't forget to give to those less fortunate during these festive days.
